  • Foam bubbles in a juice liquid

    Hello People,

I have been working on a project and the client wants a little edge of foam bubbles on the top of the juice in the bottle a little bit like here.

How would you guys go about doing this and has anybody experience with this kind of foam.

Hope to hear some awesome thoughts

Looks like a job for the phoenix particle renderer but then you need phoenix, of course.

"Phoenix FD for 3DS Max Demo Limitations
      - Simulations are restricted to 2 000 000 cells per grid
      - Maximum 10 000 particles for foam and splashes
      - Warning on every 30 sec"

Maybe 10 000 particles is enough? For testing at least...

thanks for the input.... i think testing with phoenix will surpass the budget and i only need the foam on the sides of the bottle and only on the surface. Just a little edge. Any methods on materials/displacement or other thoughts?

Hope to hear from you guys...

        Thnx

If it were me, I'd drop modelled bubbles in the glass. Create a couple lowpoly bubbles and try manually doing it. The shader is probably more important than the geometry.
