  • animation settings

    hi there,
i tried a lot of animatins and i've got a brightness, darkness problem (trembling) i don't think that is auth. problem.
did anyone try some animation with vray? generally what is the animation setting?

    thanks all

The easiest way to solve that is either:

    1) double check the auth code you received from Chaos was typed in correctly

    or

    2) purchase the program and refer to the previous step.

before anyone jumps the gun assuming anything lets ask a few things here
a: what version are you currently using
b: what type of animation is this? character or arch viz flythrough
c: what GI method do you use
d: can you post us some settings or even post the anim in question for us to analise

without this information we cant be of much help to you.

how did you calculate the animation?..
its not an Autho problem.. its the way you have done the animaition, because you have a moving object.

you will have to render every frame in single mode to stop the flickering

            test

if you have a moving camera you must save the irr map every 15th frame, you can find this in the Common Paramters of the render box (time output) you need to save the irr map as Incremental add to current map and what this is doing is every 15th frame it is filling in the parts it missed on the last 15th frame, this makes it very quick to make a complete irr map for your whole animaition. i probably havent explain it to well .. theres lots of info here.. http://www.vray.info/entry.asp?entryID=46

But my understanding of objects in your scene moving is a little Vague as i havent really explored it but i think you have to render each frame as new irr solution (in other words put it on single mode and hit render for the length of you animaition). but im not 100% sure this is the best way.
im sure others have some thoughts they could add.

my experience is that with any moving objects, you need to render new irrad map per frame. And with just a moving camera, calc irrad map every 5-15 frames depending on camera speed of course.

For moving objects in the scene you have to recalc a new irmap for every frame.

try 1.09.03r build. always good to keep up to date. whats your compression settings on the output file? usually i export as tga sequence. somehow this looks like its possibly a compression problem as well. or you can try the high animation preset to see if that cleans up the problem. whats your irradiance map settings. And in this case as others said. unfortunately you need to calculate a new irradiance map for every frame when you have any object that moves. Every object that is except the camera. If the camera is the only thing that moves then you can save an irradiance map. with just a sphere though im sure the render times per frame should be fast.

i didn't know there is a 1.09.03r version, my compression settings on the output file are default i am not changing these and it didn't work output format like bmp or jpeg i take the same result but ..

i did not try " irradiance map calculate " issue and i don't know how to do, is there any tutorials about irradiance map and irradiance map calculate ?

                        thanks all

vlado posted in the announcements that there is a 1.09.03r for max6
default compression settings are usually not the best to use. as for tutorials. you can try http://www.vray.info for tonnes of stuff.
