how to get hard shadows

i am new to vray
can we get some hard edged shadows using vray light

i am trying but not get even i dont get the shadow param for vray
light.

just use a vray area light w/ area shadows...or a spot w/ area shadoes.....the smaller the UV size (in the vray shadows parameters under any light that uses vray shadows)... for the area shadow the darker/crisper the shadows will be...
