creating a holographic effect for a 2d image

I know there are many different ways to skin this kat... and I am looking for additional vectars to this problem..

do you mean like the holographic effect similar to the R2D2 message?

no... cleaner... more like the holograms you get on credit cards....

no idea, i know i once saw a tutorial on how to get a 3d image, it was with 2 cameras slighted moved, but you would need those red/blue 3d glasses.

Is not what youre asking for tho.
