  • Some basic questions.

    If Andrey not against i will post here some novice questions:
    1- How i can use node Tex3blend.py https://github.com/nizu/VB25-tests/b...s/Tex3blend.py or in new version of exporter already are some analogs? If yes - what is analog?
    2- As i understand to get proper mapping i need to plug in some thing Click image for larger version

    I use the "Channel (Named)" node and select "UVmap" as the channel name when I have it mapped in Blender. Hope that makes sense.

      andybot_cg thx that - what i search.
      Next question
      3 - in 3ds max are render elements, in blender are render channels but their less and again in max all is easy in blender all "not easy"
      Andrey - some sort of documentation are in plans? Because I understand that what i asking is questions which usually placed in docs...

        Not less actually - check "Color Channel" node, you'll find all "raw" channels there.

          B_S , I understand you friend, i'm from Max and Maya background and it's very easy to setup everything in their, blender it's a bit more artisanal in most of cases; but it's just consuetude. I'll try to sleep less and make time to write some explanations about vray nodes in blender so new users and old vray users can enjoy more vray blender

            Here is an example of a material converted from Blender internal. I have the mapping as "UVmap" in the texture tab to the right. That's what shows up for the named channel in the node setup.
