caustics and colored shadows

Hi guys,

I'm a beginner using this awesome renderer and been playing around with it for som months and still have much to learn, I was wondering what would be the paramters to be able to get a descent combination of colored shadows? I have been able to get caustics but I' don't know why I'm not getting color in my transparent shadows. Thanks in advance.

is your glass coloured ?
have you ticked affect shadows in the material?

after ticking "affect shadows" the shadow color will be adjusted by the fog color.
