proxy object replace

In the old version of vrayblender an object was replaced by a cube , there is no way to retur no that?

Well, you could just attach it to a cube =)
We have a better option now - you could generate a preview mesh from a proxy file.

In what way?I refer to the grass, if i model some leaves of grass and the i replaced with a proxy the mesh have more poly of the mesh source, what is the method to replace the geometry original with a proxy cube?
I tried in the node editor to attach an existing proxy to a cube: it works but i loose the original orientation of the grass, what i'm doing wrong?
