  • UV texture with alpha

Hi, I would like to add a texture (a text) to a wall but I can't find how to deal with the alpha. Thanks for the help.

    Use "Layered" texture node.

I have the same issue too, I would like to use a glossy shaber white and on top of it a silver thin line. It seem like the layered deal only with diffuse shader for me. please somebody could help me.

I have this image, Logically I will use a texture with a texture mesk alpha, then a silver separate shader to accomplish the shinning part of the logo both on bottle, pack and capClick image for larger version

So, you want to mix 2 BRDF? Then use BRDF Layered (not Layered Texture).

If you want the grey part of the logo more reflective than the blue part and the text, you could use another texture to affect the glossiness of your material.

exactly, and drive by a texture mask (I think), and not only two, but as many as possible (in others projects). Could you send to me a screen shot with nodes and explanations please. And is there any place in web to find such vray blender tutorials?
                  Thanks man !

Ok, let me explain, tutorials for VRay / Blender only are pretty rare, but it's the same principles for the other apps with VRay.
I've made four renders which could show you the different options.

                      A. For this render, I mix two BRDF to produce a material. One is a pure diffuse, one is glossy. The alpha image texture is used to mix them, it's called weight in VRay.

                      B. I use the same texture, to affect the reflection of the material. White is 100% reflected, black is 0% reflected. I placed a red plane in order to see the reflection.

                      C. Same principle as the render B, but I use the color texture to show the logo. I add an invert node to invert the reflection of the render B. This time, the logo is reflective, its white background is pure diffuse.

Can't edit my post, the fourth render is a mixed material with a mirror.

Ok, let me take the time to understand it.
And where can I found tutorials on others soft (maya, etc) that use V-Ray 3.0 node?

You're welcome. For tutorials there's this website or search on youtube. As I said there are not many for VRay + Blender, you just need to adapt them.
