  • Baking vray_offset and mode properties

    Hi,

What is purpose of following properties for BakeView:
ray_offset - "The ray's beginning will be offseted this much along the normal"
    mode - ('0', "Outside", ""),
    ('1', "Inside", ""),
    ('2', "Outside - Inside", ""),
    ('3', "Inside - Outside")
    (found in https://github.com/bdancer/vb30/blob...ew/BakeView.py)

I tried to change ray_offset value manualy (to 10). But i don't see any changes in my baked textures.
Same for changing mode. What are example usages of above properties ?

I'm looking for property that would allow for offseting primary ray. I though that ray_offset could do just that.
The issue that forced me to look for ray bias proprty is shown below.

I already tried secondary bias, but without success. Also edge padding is already set to high value.
Problem is even more pronounced when using Irradiance.

Thanks in advance for any solutions to offset rays. Especially near contact points.
