Hello,
It seems I can't find the post, but AFAIR someone was hired at Chaos Group a few months ago to manage documentation stuff around VRay. So far, nothing really new, or I have missed something. Don't get me wrong, VRay has a big community proposing here and there turorials and learning stuff, but it's rarely in-depth things. On top of that, what could be better than learning directly from the creators of the tools ?
Latest Vlado's video about sampling is good but really frustrating ... a teapot ?! come on ... we're trying to implement this sampling workflow in our production, but that shows quickly its limits: it works on a scene or two, but when it comes to tweaking, sorry, but I feel a bit lost. Should I tweak MSR ? raise AA subdivs ? lower AA threshold ?
I think VRay is obviously a (very) mature tool now, and the learning ressources around it should reflect that. Take the tutorials in the online documentation for example: some of them are clearly obsolete, most of them are really old, and almost nothing about all the new features VRay has received in its last versions.
So, in a word like in hundreds, please, help us using VRay more efficiently ...
Thanks in advance,
Best regards.
