Caustics by Omni light

hey there,

so i found this tutorial on caustics https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=elGYl2g0D7U which seems fantastic...

i tried to recreate it but cant get it to work with a single Omni light as he has it...
i need to set the omni light to a directional one and use decay inverse square... (more tutorials use this aproach).

Anybody have any ideas, it just feels like im missing something basic.

Hi,

It seems that the scene scale is quite big for this caustics setup. If i scale down the scene all caustics are visible in the rendering.
