Curtain and Interior scene

can you advice me about how to avoid noise that come from full cover of curtain in interior scene... i already have outside a portal light with simple that exclude the curtain.. the curtain in 1 face 2 side material... without the curtain the render is run fast with no noise... i guess its natural behavior but how i can reduce the noise with same render time (1 hour to full hd)

So the portal excludes the curtains, but your main light (HDRI or sun?) also?

Just thinking out loud but what happens if you put the VraySky in a domelight instead of environment and you exclude the curtains from the domelight.

Edit: nevermind just tested this, looks like crap. Don't put the VraySky in a domelight either, you'll have more noise in the same time.
