displacement question

hi all and thanks for this great forum!
im just a newbie (in max and in vray)and i have a small question for you

i have a plane subdivised in 2 polygons. i wanna use a vraydisplacemod only on one polygon... how can i do that? i succeed for all the plane but not on one poly. if someone can explain it to me it would be fantastic!
