  • rendering took too long

I am a newbie in using vray. I set up an office interior scene with 20 vray lights placed where the diffused light fittings are and placed some office furniture. I used the renderer setting shown in the url below.

    http://www.evermotion.org/tutorials/...interior05.htm

The rendering took more than 2 hours to complete for a 800x600 size image. Is there any way to shorten it? People in the forum were talking about several minutes in rendering.

Did I do anything wrong in any settings in the renderer?

    Thanks for your help.

can we take a look at the output image ???

settings are very scene specific ... what works in one scene may not work for another ...it should be used as a thumbrule . but using 20 vray lights without photons then i am sure it will take 2 hours . Also you have not stated what system you have.hope this helps

20 vray light ... ..... look at the qmc and turn everything to 1 ... and see what happens ... then slowly go back on the figures until you get a descent looking render with quick times ... but you need to tell us about you scene settings.

Here are the final images. I first use photon map to preview the result. It took around 15 minutes for each image.

                Thanks
