Can anyone tell me where to turn down the amount of colour bleed onto other objects. For example I want a white roof with a blue carpet but I don't want the roof to absorbe to much of the blue.
I realise there are probably other posts for this problem but on a first glance I couldn't seem to see any obvious titles and I didn't have all day to search the forum. Anyway I fixed the problem by taking out the floor material and creating the Irr. map with a white materials then re-applying the material and rendering that way. I am not sure if this is the best way to do this but it seams to work
well but what still is missing is a per material or per object base for color bleed control. right now there´s only the global one in the gi settings.

yep..definatly agree. Something ala Brazil, where one can control not only the amount but the color that it's being bleed out of the material, would be great. That way a matarial can still contribute color to the scene...
I have the same problem too. I didn`t find a solution, except that I lower the amount of GI generated by that particular object (carpet, floor, ceiling). After that I create a omni, as bounce (no specularity), to simulate the GI generated by that object.

The GI saturation control is your best option for this. If you do like the colour bleed of other objects you would indeed need a per object control which vray doesn't have.
An other simple option is to turn down the emeting GI in the Vray property of your carpet object.
I had the same problem with a satured carpet and it work very fine on the roof.
when you play with Gi saturation control you loose contrast (This is my little experience)
But I think that Flipside have a good experience in interior render, nevertheless you can try this two solutions.
