Hi,
Could anyone please help. I am trying to make glass material (vRay advenced) in order to texture a car (windshield, side windows). When I am using sort of standard vRay glass material (downloaded mat library file somwhere on the net) it looks Ok in terms of reflection and it is possible to see other objects (car interior) through the glass. What does not work, it is not possible to see through the glass a background environment picture. I'm using photo as a rendering background.
What I also did try - standard MAX material, glossines 110, specular 70, opacity 40%, reflection map Falloff, light falloff map - vRayMap. It gives more or less acceptable reflections, and everything is seen through glass, but the rendering time becomes bloody long. Therefore questions:
- could you please share some good vRayMat settings for glass?
- how can I set tranparency with vRayMat settings?
- in which cases it is preferable to use vRayMap in MAX standard materials?
Thanks a lot
