    Hi,

    I've a question how to create a illuminated material. I tried two methods until now. First I put a standarmaterial with illumination 100, do it vraymapped and multiplicateed the GI value. The rendertime for this was good. Second I took a vray material and used output map with multiplicated output level. That gives a good solution but have very high rendertimes.

    Do you have another method which is better?
    I want to create a translucent wall which is illuminated by several lights.

    Can you please help me?

    Here is an example of a test with the illumination method using illuminated standard materials.

    There was a thread some time ago where you could use architectural material with self illumination (in lumen) instead of standard. It appears to be more acurate than the standard material and have pretty much the same effects as a vray light. Search for it on the forums. Good luck.

      I think that you can achieve wanted result by puting the output map in illumination slot and then multiplying the output value. It worked for me!

        vray also has a light material if your using one of the betas 1.45.70 is the latest public one i think

            you mentioned using a vray material which leads me to believe you have a copy of vray advanced. so all you need to do is to go to your download page on the vrayrender site and get the latest version.

              Allright. I downloaded the file. Hope it's the right version. If not, it doesn't matter, i'm waiting than just for version 1.5.

                i should have pointed out that going from 1.09x to 1.45.07 is a huge leap and needs re-authorising and dont forget that its still a beta and has beta bugs in it
