  • Installing the vrayspawner as a service?

I have done a search on the forum, and looked through the online help, but I can't seem to find anything explaining how to set the vray spawner up as a service on the network machines. Is this not possible?
I tried typing "vrayspawner60.exe" in a command prompt window, assuming it would list available flags and commands associated with the exe file, but it only started the spawner app.
(Btw. I'm using max7, and the max7 version of 1.49.10, so I assume its using the same spawner as for the max6 version).

Now, have I managed to overlook the instructions for setting it up as a service, or is it simply not possible for max7?

    Hi Trixian..

go to Control Panel and find Scheduled Tasks... ans do it from there and you can tell it to start on log-in ..

but does it then start that wierd max instance hanging around in the task bar, that doesnt go away? I really want to set it up on the other workstations here at work without it bothering the other people and would also like to set it to run on low priority on default.
(Not just for the sake of ninja-rendering on my colleagues machines ).
Oh well. Guess I'll have to post in the wish list section.

Well for now I just dropped a shortcut to it in the startup folder in the start menu. Should basically do the same as a scheduled task.
