Is there a way to project an image on a wall using a light fixture in Vray for Revit?

What kind of effect do you want to achieve? Can you show a sample?

Ana, I was looking for a light that you can put an image file into, than project that image on the floor, or a wall, etc.

Yeah, I understand. Can you be more specific regarding the effect you want to achieve? Do you want to simulate a projector lamp, a screen etc.?

Ana, I wanted to project an image of a company logo onto a wall, but at an angle. Take a standard spot light and add an image map to it. Since Vray uses Revit lights and does not have any way of adding a light outside of Revit, I don't think this is possible. Thanks

            Hi,

is this someting that will be possible?
I often have to simulate projected gobo's and such.
            Like this for example.

I was also looking for this function and it's the main reason why I am using Thea Render at the moment.

            Thanks

I guess you can always make it old style. Just make a hole on an element (you could use instead a glas with your image as color and trasparency layers) and then place a strong light behind! Don't forget:The light has to be bigger als the hole!

Hey, thanks for your fast reply.
No I'm not in the beta. It's been some time since I tested VRay4SU, but I'm checking back now and then
This feature is just a must-have in my workflow in event design

I see. Well, Revit is quite specific as it ties us to its own light types/shapes, but we're working on some ideas for further improvements. In that regard, sharing more details about your workflow might appear to be very useful.

Oh I forgot the topic was only for Revit. Thread started too long ago
I'm actually looking for a projector light inside Sketchup. But I guess this is the wrong place then...

No, we reorganized the forum sections and I guess this has caused the confusion.
And your request is for konstantin_chaos
