  • help: How to setup a distributed render

    Hi guys,

Trying to figure out how to make use of distributed render feature from Blender for Vray:
Practically question is to how to put Vray-Standalone on remote machine into "render server mode" - in 3ds max version I had "vray DR spawner" tool which did the job.
Would appreciate any info on this!

ok, figured it out. Vray command line help for some reason don't tell a word about "-server" command option, very missleading...

Hi, sorry for necro, but could you please elaborate how you solved it? I am clueless. My computers can see each other, but when I test the connection with vraydr_check.exe -host=192.168.1.24 -port=20207 it doesn't find anything... "Failed to connect to server 192.168.1.24:20207"
Not sure how to proceed. The documentation seems to be taking the connection for granted, it just explains the options and the 3ds max guide is completely different from what is in Blender.

+I see this message in the console: "Could not connect to host 192.168.1.24:20207: No connection could be made because the target machine actively refused it."
