  • Light Trails

    Greetings,

I would appreciate and be thankful for any tutorial on Vray 3.6 for SU Light Trails (car light motion blur).
Alas I could not find any in web.

The Youtube link you added does give a good starting point. You can model the trails in 2d and use the material as described in the movie.

      Thank you peerman.

Actually I was wondering how to create the trails the lights/light trail material could be apply to.
still it is not perfectly clear to me where one can 'model trials in 2D'.

I thought the rails should be made in a 3D model.

Yes, you can model it in 3d. First create a trail with the line, arc tools. Then use an extension to extrude this 2d line in the z-direction and then you have a "3d" trail.
I have an extension called "extrude lines, vector by 2 points by TIG". You can probably find something similar in the 3d extension warehouse or through Sketchucation.

        Hope this helped?

        Best,

          Of course it does! Great!

Many thanks for your detailed elucidation.

          PS
There is a tool/button extrude line within Fathercad tool assembly.
