  • COSMOS - Insert Point

    Hi,
thank you for the wonderful update - is there a way to change the insert point for objects in VRay Cosmos? This would be quite useful for larger projects.

    Hi acidnoid,

Some Cosmos integrations ( such as in 3ds Max, Rhino) support drag-n-drop of Cosmos models to a scene.
Thus, users can place the Cosmos model on a desired insertion point.

Unfortunately, this in not support across all Cosmos integrations. It will be helpful to know where you use Cosmos.

      Hi,
thank you for your reply. I am using Cosmos in C4D - drag & drop is not possible.

        Hi acidnoid ,

unfortunately the Cinema 4D drag & drop system is pretty limited when it needs to collaborate with other UI frameworks such as the QT framework which the Cosmos Browser is based on. Drag and Drop support is in our list of improvements but until we find a good way of implementing it this functionality of the Cosmos Browser won't be available in V-Ray for Cinema 4D.
