No access to the download directory

Hi,

I want to download 3D models asset in the cosmos library but it always says the following when click the download button: No access to the download directory
License is working, vray asset editor works too. I'm using Rhino 6 and vray 5 (51006), win_x64
De- and reinstalled everything from chaos multiple times and nothing has changed.
Anyone please know a fix?

Apologies for the delay.


Keep in mind that you should have read/write access to the assets download folder.
If you’re sure that you have the necessary permissions - it is possible that the directories are not configured correctly. Please locate the config.json file and forward it to us, so we can check if everything is in place. The path to the file is C:\Program Files\Common Files\ChaosGroup\ChaosCosmos

Alternatively, you can open that file yourself (via any text editor) - make sure you have the following folders and paths (the username part should correspond to the account name on the machine):

• "working_dir": "C:\\Users\\username\\Documents\\Chaos Cosmos",
• "database_dir": "C:\\Users\\username\\Documents\\Chaos Cosmos",
• "updates_dir": "C:\\Users\\username\\Documents\\Chaos Cosmos\\Updates",

In case they are not set properly, please correct them - keep in mind that these are the default directory locations. Save the file and see if things are working properly once you open your host-app and load Chaos Cosmos.
