  • Place to report issues with Cosmos library objects?

Hi, since yesterday we enjoy the Cosmos library for Maya. Especially the vegetation is great (unfortunately leaves materials are 2Sided instead of using the new trascluency system :P) .
So far I found one decorative set of books with wrong UVs.
Any specific place we can report wrong objects from the Cosmos?

    Thanks,
    Karo

    Hi Karol.Osinski,

Please feel free to share any issues with the Cosmos assets here in the forums (this thread works fine).
We are collecting this feedback then we apply fixes, and update the assets.

As for the leaves with VRay2SidedMtl - currently, we use that approach as that is the most common one supported by the Cosmos integrations (3ds Max, Maya, SketchUp/Vision, Rhino, Revit, Cinema 4D, Vantage).
It also works well in terms of rendering speed. For sure though, the new translucency improves the realism and our intention for the future is to build on top of the current assets' setup. So we're keeping your input on that!

          Hi Karol.Osinski,

The V-Ray for Maya team found the cause of the issue and will fix it.

In the meantime, there's a workaround you can use:
On the asset's material, go to the 2DPlacement nodes before the textures and zero out the "Translate Frame" and "Offset" parameters.

Hi, I have issue with cosmos assets. I copied pasted cosmos trees from one project to an other, I see it in revit but it doesn't appear in rendering. Like nothing was there. I updated the cosmos library, the assets is loaded. Any solution please ?
