update available

So I get a little message in cosmos stating there is an update available on some of the assets I have downloaded.
But how do I update the assets, I cant seem to work it out.

You can update assets by opening the detailed view. There you'll see "New asset version available" - Download now".

Where is the details view? This is the Maya version, thanks!

To go into details view, you need to click on the asset.
On the page which opens you will see "New asset version is available. Download now"
Click on "Download now" and the latest version of the asset will be downloaded to your machine.

How stupid do I feel, thanks Kalina, I thought the green import button was the only mouse function when hovering over the icon just didnt occur to me to click to the side.

This is not a good design. Imagine having to do this for 50 assets. A global button to "Update All Assets" is much simpler.
Alternatively, simply clicking on the "update available" should be set to download the updated asset. Opening another tab to get to the button, is not very user friendly, or smart. It should be right there on top level, easy to see

I keep trying to download any asset to see how it works, but all get stalled at 70% sometimes 90%, I just got the latest Maya Vray 5 build Windows 7, Ive tried the smallest assets like a simple grass and stalls at 50%.
I don't think is my internet speed.
Don't know what to do .
Cosmos is up to date.

Hi damaggio,

There is some problem which is preventing your connection to the Cosmos online service. Most probable causes are firewall or proxy.
Here is a list of the domain to whitelist in the case of restrictive firewalls:
cosmos.chaos.com
content-cdn.chaosgroup.com
accounts.chaosgroup.com
ssooauth.chaosgroup.com
ssogateway.chaosgroup.com


If the above doesn't fix the problem, please, send a ticket to our support on this link: https://support.chaos.com/hc/en-us
Make sure to attach the cb.log file, which by default is created under C:\Program Files\Common Files\ChaosGroup\ChaosCosmos

Hi again Kalina, Borislav suggested that my Antivirus was probably blocking the Cosmos app, I added an exemption to Avast antivirus and now I'm able to download any of the assets.
