Also, it seems there are far less materials in the Cosmos Library than there are in the VRay Material Browser first introduced in Vray 5 (and which Chaos state will not be supported in future vray versions….).

Hi JezUK,
The Material library in Cosmos currently includes only texture-based materials.
However, you can still find glass materials in the V-Ray material library, which comes with V-Ray.
For users of 3ds Max it is available in the V-Ray toolbar, section "V-Ray Material Library Browser". For users of V-Ray for Sketchup, it is available in the Asset Editor.
We understand your confusion of having to work with two material libraries (Cosmos library and V-Ray Material library).
This is why, we plan to merge the two together in some of the coming releases.
Best Regards,

Thanks Kalina,
It's not that I'm confused at all
It's just that I noticed those basic materials aren't included, that's all.
It's all good, I have both libraries and LOVE these material libraries. To think, only just a couple of years ago, these didn't exist, and now we're spoilt for choice
Many thanks.Jez
