Transferring downloaded assets

Hi there,

First off big props for this wonderful piece of software upgrade. I use it a lot.
I have a new PC now and I would like to transfer all my downloaded assets from my old machine. I tried by copying the package folder including the db file, but this did not make the assets show up as downloaded in the browser. Any hints?

Hi toniboni,
You cannot transfer data bases between different PCs.
Please, try doing the following:
1) Copy the contents of your Cosmos folder (C:\Users\[User name]\Documents\Chaos Cosmos) to the new machine - all files except for the cpkg.db file under Packages
2) Restart Cosmos Browser service. You can do so by going to Windows start, typing in "Stop Chaos Cosmos Browser" and clicking on it. Then, type "Start Chaos Cosmos Browser" and click on it as well.

Once the Cosmos Browser service starts, it should update the database.

Hopefully, this will work. Let us know if you encounter problems.
