    Hi folks just a little issue, probably user error.
    Why cant I see the textures on some of my People from Comos in the viewport.
    In the image you can see "Aamina_003.vrmesh" textures but not poor old Carlos
    .
    There are no textures in the Object Hierarchy list of the proxy node for Carlos but there are for Aamina.
    But they both render fine.

    PS. the Overide Shader is greyed out on Carlos

    Hi Stezza,

    Poor old Carlos is of an older generation (of assets). He lacks the metadata necessary to for proper object hierarchy and per-object material assignment.
    Instead, he relies on material indexing for individual faces.

    That's quite hard to do in our current Maya viewport implementation, so he'll be in "the grey" until we get around to re-export him.

    He renders fine in V-Ray though, as you noticed, so I hope this isn't a major issue for you.

      Ha ok thanks for getting back on this.
      We sometimes send colour screen shots to client with all textures visible for quick feedback, so it's just nice to see all textures.
