  • Cosmos Trees Rendering Black

Can anyone provide any insight as to why the trees (they are chaos cosmos assets) are rendering black? The leaves show up green when the light cache builds; however, when the rendering starts they turn out black. The link below has the file and a render showing what I mean, any help would be greatly appreciated:

If you say what software it's using, that'd help people decide if they should dl it to check for you

I don't understand the question, I'm using 3ds max and cosmos as stated above.

That's fine I didn't see 3ds Max mentioned, as I didn't immediately click the link.

The trees do render but it's just that they are being included in the Vray toon calculation and therefore totally black.
Why they are not excluded is odd...might be a bug or incompatibility with the scatter but the devs will surely know more.

Yes that is what is really strange. The Vegetation layer I made is not included, so why is the Toon Shader being applied? How would I go about getting in touch with the Dev's on finding a solution?

They'll be looking at the posts, so will respond at some point I'm sure, or you can post this in the 3ds Max: issues board for a more targetted approach, as it's not really a Cosmos thing but a Max bug (possibly).
