When I open Cosmo and do a search, drop something in my scene, and go back to Cosmo, I have to type my search in again each time - every time!

    Hello Bobby,

Your post is in Cosmos – General. Can you please tell us which software are you using, because I cannot reproduce this in Max 2024, V-Ray 6.10.08 (see video)

Also, exact steps how to reproduce would be highly appreciated!

      3DS MAX 2024/2025

I open Cosmos and type in a search, and when I return to Cosmos, I have to type my search in again. This has been mentioned before on the forum.

It doesn't sound like you're doing something differently than me on my recording. You'd better open an issue in our ticketing system, so that my colleagues from V-Ray for Max can assist you.

If I close Cosmos, I have to type my search in again. Is this normal?

I'm not sure if it's related to your problem, but it looks like you're clicking on the old Vray Material Library Browser button but it's opening Cosmos instead. Mine doesn't work like that. What happens if you click on the Cosmos button?

Great. So why does clicking that button open cosmos? AFAIK, those buttons aren't editable.

                    It's not a bug, it's a feature

Since the old V-Ray Material Library was moved to Cosmos, the old button now opens the Materials category in Cosmos. While the Cosmos button opens the browser window where you've left it, the old Materials button force-navigates to Materials.

                    Use the Cosmos button.
