    To solve your problem:
    1. Stop Cosmos Browser from the Start Menu shortcut

I'm running into the same issue right now. I've tried the steps you provided with no luck. Running on 3ds Max 2025 // V-Ray 7 Hotfix 1.

I had this problem with Rhino V-Ray on Windows 11, and this solution worked. Stopping Cosmos Browser with Admininstrator and deleting the 4 files worked.

%LOCALAPPDATA%\Chaos\Cosmos\DB just does not exisit on my comp, I have tried reinstalling, deleting anything to do with chaos cosmos, and still nothing. Absolutly dumb, I haven't been able to access the browser for 2 days. why.......what did you do?

This actually fixed whatever broken nonsense they did to the browser if you still can't connect to the local host and can't find whatever %LOCALAPPDATA%\Chaos\Cosmos\DB is.

Regarding to Alexander Milanov´s conversation by a Ticket request, I felt I should give the Info to the Forum as well, because this one solved it:

                1. Uninstall Chaos Cosmos (from Control panel -> Programs and features).
                2. Open C:\Program Files\Common Files\ChaosGroup and delete the ChaosCosmos folder if it is present.
                3. Open C:\Users\YourUsername\Documents\ and delete the ChaosCosmos folder if it is present. (... and I only missed this one.. )
                4. Download and install Chaos Cosmos from the following link: https://download.chaos.com/downloads...208240672-free

                & ... Works!

brian_knapp: First of all, apologies for the hard times that you had. It isn't "nonsence", sometimes nasty bugs manage to sneak in, unfortunately.

%LOCALAPPDATA%\Chaos\Cosmos\DB is a valid Windows path if you copy-paste it inside the address bar of the File Explorer:

Also, step 3 is not needed, on the contrary – this will remove all downloaded assets.
