  • Assets Download Folder

I've just updated my Cosmos and now it won't let me access any of my assets saved on a network drive. It only allows me to put the assets download folder on a local drive which is no good when we are rendering over a network. Is there a work around?

    Hello,

Can you please share your OS and version, as well as the host app & renderer that you use? What is the exact error message that you get? Can you provide any screenshots?

I'm on Windows 11. Chaos Cosmos • Build: 2025.04.04-531585 Using 3ds Max and Corona renderer 12.1

There's not really anything to show, I just noticed that when I updated it the assets download folder was showing as my network drive, however the assets storage was showing as 0B and it wouldn't let me import or download a model into my scene. I then went to change the download folder and in the Select Folder dialog box, none of my mapped network drives appear, only my local drives.

And you are able to access your network drive in the File Explorer? Can you please send me a screenshot of all cbservice.exe processes from the Task Manager? Like this:

            Looks good.

I remember that once we had a similar problem w/ another user. For some reason Cosmos wasn't able to see network drives. It appeared to be some OS mess because restarting the computer solved it.

If possible – will you please restart your computer, and let us know if that helped?

Yep this worked. Should have been the first thing I did. Sorry, but thank you for your time.
