I deleted asset from disk. In cosmos browser this asset is still marked as downloaded. Import asset not working.
Restarting Cosmos service doesn't help...
You will need to Stop the Chaos Cosmos Browser Service, then head to C:\Users\<USERNAME>\Documents\Chaos Cosmos\Packages\ and delete the cpkg.db file. Start the service again - once you open the Cosmos Browser, you will be able to Sign in and re-download all the assets you wish - it will recognize the files for the ones already downloaded and you will be able to get back the ones you've deleted.
Keep in mind that it is not advisable to manually move or delete assets from the working file directory.
That being said, we are planning on implementing a feature to delete assets straight from the Cosmos Browser and will update you when this happens. Thanks for the understanding!
How do I "stop" the Chaos Cosmos Browser Service? As I am trying to delete the file mentioned above, I get a message that I cannot do that, because it is open in the Chaos Cosmos Browser Service. The deleting failed even after restarting the pc and going directly to the folder without running any software.
You can stop it by opening your Task Manager. Go to Services and find the CCBService (Chaos Cosmos Browser Service) - you can right-click on it and select Stop; make sure you start it afterwards.
