I saw that a chaos cosmos browser update is available and started the update. It has been running for 25 minutes now and does not seem to finish. Does it update only the plugin or the whole library already downloaded?

Hello aida
Could you please try to restart the Cosmos Browser (Chaos Cosmos Stop / Start shortcuts from the Start Menu) and then to trigger the update process again?
The update process updates only the Cosmos Browser binary or in other words the library isn't affected.
If you face any other problems, please contact our support.
Regards,
Ivan

After waiting a few more minutes, I had restarted 3ds Max. After that, the Cosmos browser reported that it was up to date.
I suspect that the update takes probably much shorter, but this is not displayed correctly.
The question is, how long should one wait before restarting Max or the Cosmos browser.
Would be nice if this could be fixed. We experienc the described behavior with all computers in our office.

Hey aida ,
Can you please also let us know your current version of Cosmos Browser? Can be seen from the "More" menu (the three dots) –> About.
Also, we'll appreciate if you can send us your log file. It is located in C:\Program Files\Common Files\ChaosGroup\ChaosCosmos\cb.log (Windows) or /Library/ChaosGroup/ChaosCosmos (MacOS)
Thank you!

Tanks for your support!
The version before starting the update is 2022.02.21-250248.
After the update (restarting Max after a couple of minutes) it's 2022.03.11-252498.
I attached two log files : One during the never ending update and one after restart of Max.
And a screenshot of Chaos Cosmos browser during the update.
Hope that helps.

Hey aida ,
Thank you for the information. We will ask you for the log file from the other computer, as well as for the config.json files from both computers (located at the same directory as the log file).
Can you please create an issue here: https://support.chaos.com/hc/en-us and attach all files there, including the one attached here in this thread (and remove it from the thread).
Thank you!
