  • Liked materials online not showing up in Cosmos Browser

    Hi

It read (somewhere), that any Liked objects or materials in the online browser will become available in the Cosmos Browser inside Cinema 4D

All the materials that I have liked - cannot be seen or displaying in the Cosmos Browser.

However, if I like a model it becomes available.

I am thinking that most of the materials are not compatible with C4D.

    Hello bern_diener,

Please note that not all materials, available at http://localhost:30305/ are compatible with V-Ray for Cinema4D. Visiting the mentioned link, you will be able to see all assets in the Cosmos browser, available for all V-Ray integrations. However, if you visit the browser from Cinema4D, you will only be able to see the assets, compatible with V-Ray for Cinema4D. If you like a material, compatible with V-Ray for Cinema4D, you will be able to see it in the Cosmos browser inside Cinema4D.

I hope this all makes sense. Let me know if you have further questions.

      Hi,

I'm not really understanding this thing.

Some are compatible - some not from various sources?

I have liked and downloaded - but its not available inside the Cosmos Browser.

It should all be available or just don't have this thing. Its a bit frustrating.

Are you basically saying as a cinema 4D user, I should not look at this link for assets http://localhost:30305/ because the assets here are not compatible for c4d..

And I should only look at the assets that are available inside the program on Cosmos browser.

          Hello bern_diener,

If you visit the Cosmos Browser via http://localhost:30305/, you will see all assets, available for all platforms because when visiting via your internet browser, there is no way to detect which host application you are using. Keep in mind that some cosmos assets require specific host applications or V-Ray versions. For example, there are some assets that require V-Ray 6 and therefore you won't be able to import them in V-Ray 5 for Cinema4D. If you open the Cosmos browser inside Cinema4D, those assets won't be visible to you and you will only see the assets, compatible with V-Ray for Cinema4D.

I hope this is of help.
