  • Cosmos white and whisky glass fluids dont render well

    my wine looks like paint and whisky like a latte - anyone have any ideas. I have tried RTX, CUDA and CPU as well turning on caustics - still the same.

    trying to avoid downloading the model and altering textures as VRay already struggling with memory crashes.

    I tried increasing trace depth from 8 to 20 didnt help in case anyone was wonderinG!

      Hi boundary,

      Testing those two assets in a simple scene with an infinite plane and the default Dome light, I've attached the result.

      Keep in mind that the lighting would also have an effect on the final outcome. Moreover, for accurate Caustics calculations, you will need to disable the Affect Shadows parameter from the glass material itself. You mentioned you don't want to alter the materials, but should you need to do so, keep in mind that you only need to Merge the assets in order to be able to edit their materials to your liking.

      You can still forward us the project for further inspection so we could give you proper guidelines.
