  • Bug - Purge removes decal material

    Hey, we noticed a bug.

If we place a decal, the material is NOT in the SketchUp model itself. If we use purge, it deletes the material, hence the decal is no longer working.

    Thanks.

    Dear vanja_uri, hello.

Which Purge option are you using?
The one from SketchUp or Purge from V-Ray Asset Editor?

    Best regards,

      Hello, vanja_uri ,
Thank you for reporting this issue!
We have confirmed with Tsvetomira it occurs only when the SketchUp native purge actions are used.
Our dev team is notified and will look into it.

When working with V-Ray materials we recommend using the V-Ray Asset Editor 'Purge Unused Assets' action instead. You can find it at the bottom-right corner of the Assets list (the Broom icon).

Ok, but does Vray Native purge also purge all of the geometry? Or only VRAY Assets?

The V-Ray Asset Editor's "Purge Unused Assets" action removes only V-Ray assets.

Yea, figured. Ok, would be great to keep the asset when using regular purge as well.
