  • First Thoughts?

We are definitely going to need Live Link from our software of choice, VRSCENE is ok for beta tests, but this is hopefully not going to be the only way to import into Envision.

Anima crowds are great, but the people seem to be T-Pose low poly characters. Where are those realistic 4D people we see on the AXYZ website?

I had hardware acceleration turned on and it just made my screen bug out and flicker, I had to turn this off. This was using a 4090 card with the latest drivers.

I am left thinking, why would do we need Envision when Vantage was already there? Is this software geared to a particular crowd of users? I am just left wondering why we aren't adding Anima crowds to Vantage and calling it a day? I think if this is going to be geared toward the entry-level crowd or someone who wants a one-stop shop for all renderings and animations, you are going to have to simplify everything a lot more. It all seems very lost if I can be honest.

As someone who has used Lumion, Twinmotion, D5, Enscape and Vantage I feel this is the most unintuitive interface I have come across. I just feel lost and it all feels clunky. Every one of these other programs I have been able to open for the first time and hit the ground running. I feel left with a lot to be desired here. I'm sorry. I really wanted this is be a huge hit but I am not feeling that right now.

    Thanks for the questions.
The 4D people will be coming in an update in the near future. There was a last minute detail that we wanted to get right before including them.
We chose to make Envision a different product from Vantage so that Vantage could concentrate on M&E workflows - like pre-viz, virtual production, etc.
With Envision focusing on Design workflows coming from CAD/BIM tools, it needed to provide all that's necessary for final results - animation, material editing, etc, whereas most Vantage users rely on their DCC tool for such things.

Sorry to hear that you not finding it as intuitive as others, but it is different the others - being purpose built rather than sitting atop a game engine that prescribes quite a bit.
Please keep the honest feedback coming - we'd like to hear more of your experiences as you discover what Envision can do.
