  • Linking Enscape vrscene files

    Howdy Team!

This may be more of an Enscape feature that needs an update versus a "problem" with Envision but...

When exporting vrscenes from Enscape you get a prefix like Enscape_2025-02-05-15-04-29_ every time you export. There is no way, that I'm aware of, to overwrite the same file name. This is obviously an obstruction when linking the file in Envision and you are trying to make design or content updates in your BIM/CAD package and Enscape. You are forced to delete and load the new version with new prefix, for an example, Enscape_2025-02-05-15-05-29_.

It would be great if you could change the Source file path in Envision and Reload.

Hello, a very good point, and I am happy to confirm that this is already reported to our dev team (EC-1246).

Related to the vrscene export functionality of Enscape, checkboxes of each view should be removed to prevent users from resulting in multiple vrscene files and match the behavior of V-Ray's V-Ray scene export.

V-ray presents a single menu item to export vrscene, which is more preferable.

I wish it was called something besides 'V-Ray Scene' file, why not 'Chaos' file?
Exporting V-Ray Scene file sounds like exporting for V-Ray Scene, not for Envision.
