  • Burned pc during installation!!!

Dear Chaos Team and Chaos Users.

I attempted to install the beta version of Chaos Envision on my computer. During the process, a prompt appeared about installing a license server. I decided to quit the installation before it started and clicked "Quit." Immediately after this click, my computer make a „puff” sound and shut down unexpectedly and now it won’t power back on.

This issue is alarming, as it might have caused critical damage to my system, potentially affecting my SSD or motherboard or smth other. I kindly request urgent assistance to resolve this situation. Additionally, I would like to understand whether your installation process could have caused such damage.
I’m sure it’s connected with this installation process.

Please treat this as a priority, as my system is currently inoperable and other users can get same trap.
I look forward to your prompt response and proposed solutions.

I will inform more soon about issue diagnostic process

        Dear mat_olszowy,

I'm sorry you experienced a hardware malfunction during the installation. I can assure you Chaos products are rigorously tested using various hardware configurations for extended periods of time and no such issue has been reported. There are various causes of SSD failures and, while software may cause heavy load on the SSD and provoke an issue, it is most likely not the cause of the failure. As an example here's an article that describes the most common causes:

Please let me know if you have any questions.

        Best regards,
        Simeon

At this point, it's hard for me to say what exactly was the cause.
The SSD selected during installation was corrupted and failed when the installation was attempted.
However, since then, despite replacing the disk with a new one, I have recurring problems with the stability of the computer, which are not yet 100% diagnosed.
current suspicion is on the power supply.
