An option to have clips start or end snap to another start or end in a different layer. I often have to make sure I dont have the clips misaligned by one frame since they dont snap to each other.

A marquee select tool for timeline clips. If I want to move a bunch of clips along to make room for a new clip, or an extended clip, I need to manually select all the clips one by one and move them along. A marquee select tool would be much faster.

You can do Layer > Position after Next Layer.
This will align the currently selected layer's start at the next layer's end and will automatically increase the length of the timeline to accommodate the new total length.

You can only do this for layers that have another layer *after* them, i.e. you can align layer 1 after layer 2, but you cannot align layer 2 after layer 1.

    Does this help?

Just adding a tip that you can use alt+up or alt+down to change the order of the selected layer. You can use this to position it up or down without worrying that you'll nudge it left or right in the timeline. Then in combination with Layer > Position after Next you can quickly put a layer before another one to stick one's start at another one's end.

I think the "position after next layer" works fine for that, but Id love a "position after previous layer" also. I dont know if I edit incorrectly, but I tend to make seq1 on layer 1 and so on, so my seq 2 needs to snap to end of seq1, currently the tools dont do that. What would solve this also is if the blue time marker line snapped to the start or end of a seq when within a certain distance threshold, of say a couple of frames. Then I could use the "align begin at current" tool as I know the timeline marker has snapped correctly at the end of a sequence.
