  • OCIO LUT should happen after color adjustments

We render our images with bright lights (overexposed) and so we routinely lower the exposure of images. We also render everything in ACEScg. The Chaos Player lets you apply an OCIO LUT, but if you adjust the exposure, it seems to happen after the LUT, not before, resulting in a dull image with incorrect colors. Can the LUT calculation be moved to be the final color calculation?
    Thanks

HI, thanks for posting. We will discuss your idea and decide if we should develop it. We will keep you posted.
For now you could use adjustment layers.

In my setup I have two adjustment layers - one for the exposure and one for LUT. I've placed the LUT on top and it works like in VFB:

thanks - that's a good workaround with using an adjustment layer for the LUT
