I have a scene I was testing out that contains an animated texture that is linked in Max as a PNG sequence. It just gives me a base white/grey material, I'm guessing it's either a material tweak that will happen down the road or a PEBKAC issue on my end and just something I'm missing?

Animated Textures - PNG Sequence?

It's not an issue on your side, we do not support texture sequences and also deforming meshes.
Both of these require moving large amounts of data between the CPU and GPU on each frame,
and we have to do some optimizations within the engine to handle this efficiently.

Makes perfect sense. Nine times out of ten it's usually that I'm just overlooking something, I appreciate the detailed response.
I'm sure we are only a handful of time away from GPUs and other computer hardware eliminating some of the current restrictions.
Once Lavina is integrated into 3ds Max and other hosts, no doubt it will be everyone's go to IPR for scene building, and eventually even final output.

Definitely, would be great!
The example I was testing is of a plasma gun that has a sight / reticle that is an animated texture so at least being able to show a static frame of that sequence would save time in any instances where animated textures might be used.
Rather than having to manually make and apply a new material just for exporting to Lavina.
