  • Is it possible to export camera paths from 3ds Max to Lavina?

What the title says. When I import the scene into Lavina, it often shows one of the cameras I created in Max as [Home] Original Camera. However, I don't see any place where I can select cameras created in Max, stationary or with motion paths.
vladimir.nedev said in this post: https://forums.chaosgroup.com/forum/...first-thoughts that camera paths can be imported; he refered that there is an option in the .vrscene export dialog in 3ds Max. However, I click every option in the export menu, and even then I can't find my cameras in Lavina.

    Could someone help me?

Right now the .vrscene file will contain only the render camera, the rest won't be there.

      Thanks for your swift answer!

      - Is it planned the import of all cameras at the same time and batch render animations from Lavina?
      - Is there a "universal" value to render animations in Lavina, i.e., the optimal number of samples, noise threshold and the use or not of the denoiser?

We do intend to support this at some point, but it will also require changing the various .vrscene exporters (from 3ds Max, Maya, etc) to include all the cameras in the .vrscene.

I don't think so, it depends on the noise in your scene, some scenes may require a higher number of samples.

            Hi there,
We have 3 animated cameras in 3dMax that we have imported into Vantage. We can see all cameras in Vantage but it only keeps the animation of one of the cameras (which was the one active at the moment of exporting the vray scene).
Is this an issue or am I doing something wrong?

            Best regards,

            Andreia

The scene animation track can play one of the cameras. You can select which one through the right click context menu in the animation editor:
