Update for C4D Material

Hi!

i Have a bigger order and would like to use Vantage VR to be able to present it to customers. Until when will the new update come that the material from C4d Vray 5 in Vantage will be displayed?

Have in mind it's our first public version with Cinema 4D support, so there will be stuff to fix most likely.
You shouldn't immediately rely on it in the face of deadlines, etc.

I tested Vantage yesterday, it works quite well with the materials, when I open the project in Vantage everything looks ok as soon as I move the camera, does Vantage reflect all the objects?The whole objects then remain mirrored.the problem with the mirroring does not occur with the live link. It would also be great if you could add the Cinema 4D area and cuboid mapping!

I did a few more tests. Vray Material Coat is not transferred to Vantage either, the bump does not match either

Hm, yes, this seems to be caused by Cinema4D's left handed coordinate system.
We will have to investigate and fix it. Thanks for the report.

There is "cubic" projection, but which one is the "area" projection ? I don't see it in the Maxon docs.

This is not specific to Cinema 4D.
We are working on it at the moment.
It will most likely make it into the next update.

This will be difficult to solve completely due to some differences in how Vantage works compared to V-Ray.
Is the difference huge ?
Can you attach an example scene, so I can examine your specific case ?

If you could add these mapping variants that would be great. I have projects that I wanted to present with VR is not possible because of the reflection.I would like to know until when it will be fixed or whether I could have an internal build?

Do you mean the reflected/mirrored camera or the coat layer of the V-Ray material ? Which one is the show stopper or is it both ?

That with Vantage and Cinema works great! Thanks again. Would be great if you could add the other mapping types from Cinema 4D. I noticed that when you do the live link, the Envoronmet Texture for the dome light is not transferred. s there a full screen display for the live link mode without left and right editing columns?

Can you send me a scene for this ? We have a known issue where the environment is not updated during the live link, but the initial load when you start a live link should work.

You can double-click on any of the left or right tabs and the whole vertical column will hide.
