Is there a material override in Vantage?

No, not yet, but we do have some plans to implement this feature.

You could maybe use the V-Ray for 3ds Max override feature together with the live link.

Thank you for the fast reply. I have been just putting a material override in MAX, before I export it, which works. I have been using Vantage for grayscale turn-table animations.
