In any case, 2 3080s won't be twice as fast as 1 3080, that's for sure.

The 3090 also has the benefit of having more than twice the RAM, so if you are choosing what to buy, that might be a good reason to get the 3090.

Yes, they should work together, however you are limited by the smaller amount of VRAM when you want to use them together. In this case 10 GBs for the 3080.

Hallo habe jetzt eine RTX 3090 und eine RTX 3080 in meinen System möchte gerne RTX 3090 für Vantage (vantage.exe -d 0) und die RTX 3080 für Cinema 4D Nutzen (Cinema.exe -d1) liege ich so richtig einfach eine Verknüpfung Anlegen und dann umbennen oder? Wo kann ich sehen ob er wirklich die RTX 3090 für Vantage anwendet und die RTX 3080 für Cinema?

I am not sure this option works in Cinema 4D ? Maybe C4D always uses the GPU connected to your display ? You have to check this in the Cinema4D docs or forum.

As for Vantage, you can see which GPUs are being used in the lower right corner of the Vantage window.

What do you mean? Vantage uses the same set of GPUs it was started with. Are you starting two separate instances of vantage.exe to render two different sequences at the same time, one on each GPU? You could do this with "vantage.exe -d 0" and "vantage.exe -d 1"...

Kann mann im laufenden Vantage bei zwei separaten Instanzen wenn man nicht mehr weiß welche die für RTX 3090 und welche für die RTX 3080 gestartet wurde, sehen welche Karte zur welchen Instanz gehört??

In Nvidia control panel, you can set which card is used for Cinema 4D in case of multiple GPUs
Maya, Max and pretty much any other applications will use this OpenGL Rendering GPU for viewport, so in your case if you set 3080 here you make sure your 3090 is only used by Vantage

Hallo Habe das Update Chaos Vantage, Update 4.1 Installiert und mir ist aufgefallen das Vantage nur mehr eine Grafikkarte verwendet. Die Version 4 verwendet aber beide Grafikkarten in meinen System,
wäre toll wenn sie den fehler beheben könnten.

Hello Mr. Pock,

With version 4.1 we added a Render device selection option in Edit>Render Devices. You can set there which device should be used for Vantage without using the command line hack "-d 0". Please check what card is checked in the Render Device Selection menu.
