Is Vantage + Deadline possible?

Hey Guys,

I'm test driving the Vantage at the moment and looking for options to use it in production for some animations.

I would like to see if there is a chance to use Vantage with Deadline to distribute the workload between multiple stations.

Is there any way to render a frame with Vantage using command line?

Hi. Unfortunately we don't have this feature yet. But it has been requested before and it is planned to have some form of batch rendering support. You bring up an interesting point, we should think about making it usable without user interaction with the UI...

Will do. I could also quickly mock up deadline plugin myself, but it has to be technically possible.

It would be good to base the command line functionality on the V-Ray Standalone - https://docs.chaosgroup.com/display/...d+Line+Options .

We've added command line rendering in 1.5.0 - see "vantage_console.exe --help".

Hello I am not sure how the command line works. It just loads the scene and does not render anything. It suppose to render or just run Vantage with parameters?

I believe the support for this was removed at some point. At one point it worked but after few releases it doesn't.

Unbelievable. Thanks for letting me know, I thought my hands were growing in the wrong direction.
