  • Vantage export

    Hi all,

Does anyone know of a way to export the Vantage scene to a standalone?

The workflow would be something like 3dsmax Vray to Vantage to .exe (as per Enscape), this would allow for outside consultants or planning officers to walk around the project without owning the software or running a super fast machine.

    Many thanks,

    Jason

    Hi Jason,

Currently that is not possible but we have it logged as a request but no ETA on the matter. Just a note here the final .exe will also require a machine that meets the system requirements for Chaos Vantage to run on. Otherwise the result from Vantage and the .exe will not match. So the outside consultants or planning officers or clients will need a similar setup.

    Best regards,
    Alexander

      Hi Alex,

Thanks for the update, much appreciated. The ability to show a client a walk around for their project without the need of the software would be a great addition.

If you guys do update Vantage to offer this functionality then I understand something like a mid range RTX laptop would be able to run the .exe ? I might be wrong in my understanding though.

      Kind regards,
      Jason

        Hi Jason,

GPU RAM and the RTX cores are the key for the hardware and the more of each the better the experience(fps) so to simply put it, a mid-range RTX laptop would suffice but that still depends on the scene/exe itself. If a scene contains a lot of geo/materials and lights and requires a 12GB GPU to open it then the client machine should also need to have those 12GB. We are also experimenting with server/cloud streaming as mentioned in the topic here:

This is still in very early stage and no promises or ETA at the moment but this will solve the need for the client to have a high end machine and still have the proper experience.

        Best regards,
        Alexander
