  • EXR and channels problem.

    Hi there,

I've downloaded and tried Vantage 1.4.2, I noticed that after I render an EXR file and open it using After Effect, the exposure of image has changed, and I can not find any channel's information except an weird velocity channel.
You can see my screenshots below.

Is it because I do something wrong when I render the EXR file, or miss something in After Effects?

    Yixiang.

The main RGB layer contains the denoised image in original *linear* color without any post-effects (bloom, LUT, exposure). This means the colors are also not converted to sRGB as the ones you see in the viewport or when saving to PNG.

I'm not sure why Depth and Velocity look like that, I'm not familiar with AE.

Thanks for reply, but not only in AE, I also couldn't find any channel's information by using NUKE.

It turns out these softwares (Nuke, AE) recognize the depth channel as such when it's called "Z", so it will be renamed in the next Vantage update. I find it silly that they don't recognize "depth"... ("z-depth", "zdepth", etc. could also mean the same thing...)
